  Peace this is Dillon, ya'll. Originally released in 2009 on Domination Recordings, 'Studies in Hunger' is my debut album as 'Dillon' and is produced entirely by Paten Locke (RIP). The album features Chuck D, Cool Calm Pete, Stacy Epps, Supa Dave West, Akrobatik, H2O of Massinfluence, Willie Evans Jr. & Lady Daisey - as well as scratches + multiple verses & appearances from Paten.
  
  The writing process began in late 2005 when I linked up with Paten aka DJ Therapy and scooped the first batch of beats (What would become 'Concentrate', 'Identify', 'Spin' & 'Shake'.) It was a lengthy recording process at Batsauce's 'Green T Studios' in Jacksonville, FL that included MANY re-writes & re-recordings + a grip of new skits & interludes I recorded at my new setup in Atlanta circa 2008. Studies in Hunger was finally released on limited CD only in 12/11/2009.
  
  Fast forward to 2013 - Domination Recordings has folded (Peace & love, DJ!) and I had the rights back to my album. At this point streaming was all the way popping and 'Studies in Hunger' was nowhere to be found! Paten & I saw this as an opportunity to release music under our own imprint and out of this necessity, FULL PLATE was born. Our first release was the digital re-issue of Studies in Hunger which we paired with a remix version of the entire album produced solely by Supa Dave West. This was sold on an oven mitt shaped flash-drive attached to an actual oven mitt, obviously.
  
  Fast forward again because it's 2019 and this album is turning 10 f&*$!ng years old. Earlier this year, P and I made plans to finally give this album the vinyl treatment it deserves. Then he got his diagnosis and left us on his own time, so I'm here to humbly follow through and stick to the plan.
  
  That being said - after digging up the original masters I quickly realized that they would not work for a proper vinyl pressing. They were sizzling hot! I found 2 burned DVDs that Batsauce sent me before he moved to Berlin (for what turned out to be FOREVER) which contained MOST of the original stems - but definitely not all - nor were they always the most updated version of the song. Needless to say I had my work cut out for me. First I had to buy a DVD player because WOW - 4 computers over here and NONE of them have a disc drive! So I took all the stems that I had, threw em in Pro Tools and dove in. I more or less had to meticulously re-create and remix the album from scratch. It was a mind f&*k. In most cases I stayed true to the final release version - in some cases I went back to the original version we recorded with Batsauce (notice the different intro). Needless to say after countless hours I think I've got it sounding pretty decent.
  
  So after 10 years, this cleaned up & newly mixed & mastered album will be pressed up for the very first time on olive green vinyl. Original artwork by DJ Neff aka Level 3. The album comes with a Download Card + a special insert that will be a tribute to Paten Locke.
